Things We Don’t Talk About In Polite HR Company

in Business

In HR, we talk about lots of things.

Let’s be honest, we talk about people.

Not people with a big P either.

We talk about diversity.

And teamwork.

And our Myers-Briggs personality types.

But we don’t talk about religion.

Or politics.

Or our worldview.

Take global climate change, for instance.

Believe it?

Or not?

Or how about the age of the universe?

13.72 billion years old?

Or 6,000 years old?

How about politics?

We’re all this together?

Or it’s rugged individualism.

These aren’t easy things to talk about in polite HR company.

But our worldviews govern how we think.

How we perceive the world around us.

How we see people.

And our purpose.

In business.

And society.

During our short time here.

We don’t talk about these things in polite HR company.

But they’re there.

There’s no denying that.
