…thinks it’s okay to never thank your employees because “you’re paying them for it,” hear this: You’re wrong.

Really, they’re not your employees. They just happen to report to you right now. They’re adults. They work hard. They do more than you’ll ever know. And that crap you learned in Management 101 about not fraternizing with the troops and such? Bullshit.

Get over yourself. Thank people when they do a good job. And compliment people on other things they do.

Managers who think they’re above praising people are in for a rude awakening when the economy wakes up.
